Hello, my name is Helena Cowdrey.

I am a Graphic Designer.


based in Oxford, with eleven years’ experience which includes app and web design/development and marketing communications. I have worked both in digital and print.

I have recently completed a 10-month contract with Pixel Edge Ltd in Aylesbury. I created marketing collateral for two of their largest clients: the multi-national Nordson and ipTEST. The work on these high-end clients was varied, interesting and often challenging. A real accomplishment for me was designing a logo for Nordson which was used on the product line for the Stellar 4000.

Before working at Pixel Edge Ltd I had a 6-month contract with a luxury branded food business, hampers.com as the designer in their marketing department. I was contracted to maintain their current branding while they were undertaking a re-brand. The job role was similar to the role I had at SportsCover Direct and their sister company Protectivity where I created PPC, social media and web design.

Earlier in my career I worked on the designs for the Formula 1® app and The Paddock Club™. It was great experience to work for such a world renowned and prestigious client.

My interests cover all areas of design, but my favourite is marketing communications. I enjoy working with content and creating designs which clearly communicate a message to the target audience, resulting in increased sales.

I have enjoyed contracting with hampers.com and Pixel Edge Ltd over the last year and a half as it has enabled me to widen my experience by working with different teams in varied industries. I would now ideally like to have a full-time, in house role, either as a Marketing Designer or Mid-Weight Graphic Designer, with potential for career development. I enjoy working as a team but can work independently.
